Somebody (I have had no luck yet finding out who so I can thank them) made a book trailer for The Line!  So cool!  Thank you!

Just found out it was a Kentucky librarian!  Emily Northcutt!  Yay for librarians!

A coworker and friend of mine who bought AWAY was reading it at work today while on her break.  When she came back to the office, she said, with a big grin, "I just met Nipper. "  It made me smile to hear one of the characters in AWAY described that way--like a real personality in the world.  Still smiling now.

I'm having a giveaway for teachers only--a free paperback of THE LINE (has a great classroom guide to go with it).  I've had such great discussions with classes who have read it--it seems to work for Social Studies, Language Arts, college courses too.

So if you want to read it for free to see if you think it might work in your classroom, go to www.terihall.com, take a look at the free discussion guide on the "stuff" page (done by our own Natalie from the BBs) and then email me to enter.  No other stuff required--but spread the word for me?

Contest starts now, and ends the end of April.

There is a free, comprehensive curriculum guide for The Line. Teachers of Social Studies and Language Arts are giving me wonderful feedback on class room use. Written by a teacher, intended to align with instructional standards, but still loads of fun for the students! Let me know if you are having good results with it in your classroom!
